Sehagal Tools Corporation is a classic example of steady business evolution. The business model set up by Mr. Sehgal in 1957 for catering to the requirements of developing forging & casting industry in INDIA, by way of providing them with Industrial Hardware products. Tools & Die steel of the finest quality. Sehgal Tools did not merely supply the tools & die steel to its customers, also helped the entrepreneurs in identifying the right type of products for their factories. Technically assisting them with all type of information required, by tying up with large Companies & consultants for this purpose. This hard work by Mr. Sehgal coupled with his business acumen and his foresightedness helped in this development.
In 1981 SEHGAL TOOLS COORPORATION was established, wherein the flagship of SEHGAL TOOLS was carried further deep into other areas of the forging industry. Mr.Sehgal ventured into manufacturing and thereafter Mr. Sehgal was inducted into business who carried the developments ahead, especially in the forging & casting Industry under the trade names and styles of Sehgal Tools. Mr. Sehgal, having been imbibed with the respect from his friends & foes alike. With this fresh perspective & energy introduced, the business grew at a faster pace. Today the metal forging & casting industry in whole of India fully appreciates the organizational & business capabilities of Mr. sehgal. With the opening up of the global markets, Sehgal tools started importing Tools & Die Steels from the world’s top most manufacturing companies like.
These steels are aimed at the manufacturing of tools used in cold processing of other steels, cast irons and non ferrous metals and in diversified operations such as cutting, bending, forming, coining, extrusion, steel wire drawings, wooden work, ceramic pressing, pigment grinding, rock drilling, paper cutting and various other applications.
These steels work with heat. They are recognized for great wear resistance, heat conductivity, hardness and robustness at increased temperatures. These steels have better features for use due to decreased sulphur level.
These steels are fast cutting steels with high resistance, fine robustness, high compression strength, and fine wear resistance. This steel is suitable material for Hot Chemical processing (CVD, PVD).
1. D-3 (High Carbon, High Chromium Tool Steel) - Excellent wear resistance and toughness - Suitable for cutting tools, dies, and shear blades
2. D-2 (High Carbon, High Chromium Cold Work Tool Steel) - High wear and abrasion resistance - Used in tools requiring high edge retention
3. H-13 (Chromium Hot-Work Tool Steel) - Outstanding toughness and resistance to thermal fatigue cracking - Ideal for hot forging dies, extrusion dies, and die-casting molds
4. En-31 (High Carbon Alloy Steel) - High strength, hardness, and wear resistance - Widely used for bearing applications and high-stress components
Use of Alloy Steel is mainly in automobile industry and machinery parts.
Forging is a process in which metal is being shaped using compressive forces with a Hammer or a press. Forging are classified into Cold forging, warm forging or hot forging.
Tempered and Pre-hardened is done to 1000Mpa.Whenever for plastic processing mould carrier large moulds ( over 400mm thickness) is used.Pre-hardened plastic mould steels are widely used for manufacturing mould for plastic. High grade mould base for mirror surface & EDM requirement, rubber moulds, Injection moulds for bottle crates, TV sets housing fames, refrigerator doors, bucket and automobile related compartments, electrical and audio visual related compartments and etc.
